We are a 4* privately owned Hotel on the outskirts of Swindon with 108 bedrooms, 3 Bars, 2 Restaurants extensive Conference & Banqueting facilities, Leisure Club with Golf Course & Beauty Salon.
We are a busy venue accommodating corporate delegates, leisure guests, celebrations events, Christmas Parties and much more and we are seeking a talented & passionate Head Chef to join our Management Team.
As Head Chef you’ll be responsible for the entire kitchen operation, overseeing food ordering, preparation, delivery, staffing, stock control and conforming at all times with health, safety and hygiene regulations.
You will be required to train, motivate and inspire your team to deliver an efficient food operation and be responsible for the kitchen’s financial performance which can lead to attractive rewards.
You must have previous experience of being a head chef in a similar size operation with a proven track record and have the ability to work within tight budgetary constraints with the ability to minimize cost.
The ideal applicant will have a strong background in:-
- Seasonal menu planning (and be able to show this at interview)
- Stock control
- Food cost control
- Wage cost control
- Experience of cooking with a Josper Oven is an advantage.
As a venue we host a high volume of Weddings and Functions with a very busy Carvery serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, function room facilities alongside a popular fine Dining Restaurant
The post is to start as soon as possible, Due to the nature of the work you will be required to work weekends, evenings, public holidays . The shift pattern is normally 5 out of 7 days working a 40-48 hour week. Temporary accommodation can be available if required.
