“Good Conference/ training base”

Visited here for a conference / training event. Nice looking hotel with plenty of parking. Service was polite and staff were friendly. Facilities are okay, I think the ceilings are a bit low so seems a bit dark. Lunch was good, great food to choose from and plenty of seating to relax and eat in peace. Overall quite a good venue.

“Reunion Night”

Stayed on Saturday night for a small reunion in a busy hotel with another large dinner party at the same time, The staff coped admirably with all requests, including going to another bar for draught beer, the accommodation was comfortable and quiet. We appreciated the owner's attention while planning her fathers birthday lunch.

“Nice location, very friendly staff”

While some of the hotel is starting to look a little dated, it's maintained very well. The staff is all very friendly and professional, especially the bar staff and the front desk. The property offers some really nice views and is nice and quiet. The bar prices are a little high in my opinion, but the food at the bar offers a good value. The Flame restaurant is very nice and not too expensive.

“Lovely setting and very good service”

I was one of a coach party of 47 pensioners from Lancashire and can thoroughly recommend this hotel.
The setting was beautiful: the hotel was very clean; the room was very comfortable; the catering, including waiters and waitresses, was excellent too. I benefited from swimming in the octagonal indoor pool (5-6 strokes a width). Any minor snag any of us had was immediately rectified.

“Good Hotel”

The evening meal was good, and the breakfast was excellent. The service is good, and the rooms are clean and spacious. I always look forward to coming here and always pop into the whiskey bar for something I've never tried before. There is a pleasantly chilled atmosphere.

“Excellent Best Western Hotel”

Called in to check facilities, planning a visit to stay with friends. Staff very friendly, attractive lay out of hotel and several cosy lounge areas. Had lunch in the carvery. Excellent choice of buffet style food. Had the three course meal £15 ended with fruit salad which was fantastic, if we return we would order one to share, as the portion was so large.

“Very helpful for our large party”

The staff are professional and incredibly friendly. Our group trip was extended by nearly two weeks and they were patient to work with us to ensure we had enough rooms for our extended stay.
Carrie's was great. I was looking for a salad for dinner that wasn't on the menu. They asked what I wanted, asked the chef, and they made it for me. It was great!

“An excellent weekend”

There where six of us in a party, taking up three rooms, starting on Saturday the 4th March dinner until Sunday lunch on 5th of March, our rooms where in the old part of the building which we found are very much to our liking, room enough to have small gathering in, clean & tidy plenty of drawer & wardrobe space, I have been to many functions in the past, with an organisation called Moose International they were ladies nights & the hotel managed them very well, the food for thoughts functions & in flames "restraint for dinner & breakfast " was excellent, I can recommend going there.

I would Highly recommend this Hotel if you are staying in Swindon. I have stayed here a few times and have always had a lovely time. Gorgeous rooms and always clean and tidy. The food here has always been great and the Bars all-individual. Welcoming and helpful staff throughout.

“Consistently excellent”

I have stayed many times at the Best Western Blunsdon Hotel and it consistently provides an excellent level of accommodation and service, supported by enthusiastic and caring staff. The menus and the quality of the food provided is again consistently high. The beautiful grounds, the sports and swimming facilities and the many local sites and attractions make this hotel a superb base for exploring the local area and having a relaxing break any time of the year. Highly recommended.

“3 comfortable, quiet nights with good food”

The title says it all, for the price, given a choice, I'd make this my hotel of choice in the Swindon area.
Flames restaurant is reasonably priced for really good evening meals & all the staff, including the chef have a nice professional and engaging manner.

“Cotswolds Christmas”

Spent Christmas here. Warmly welcomed.
Beautifully decorated hotel with Christmas tree in bedroom.
Big mention of all the staff who went out of their way to make the stay memorable.
Room 125 in main hotel ground floor excellent for elderly mum. Comfy, warm, (hand rail & bath mat in bathroom) extra tea/coffee/milk available in corridor as well as in room.
Individual presents handed out by The Real Father Christmas. He was wonderful.
I would highly recommend this stay & I’m sure this wonderful family run hotel is great all year round.

“Christmas”

We arrived with a coach company and was made to feel at home, our room was large and very comfortable in the hotel. The food and staff was excellent, with a visit from Santa in a Rolls Royce no less, he obviously makes his money. All in all we had a lovely Christmas, which the owners made sure of great.

“Nostalgic, Calm, Beautiful Grounds”

There's London and then there's the rest of the UK. I have stayed at this location on 3 occasions over the course of about 3 or 4 years. The hotel is off of a main road. You pass nice houses in a residential area to get there. This was juxtaposed to some less elegantly appointed houses on the taxi ride to the hotel. I felt relieved.
This is not a place for someone that wants to be in the thick of things. It is a residential location, however, the grounds are lovely. When I've gone there were roses and other lovelies in bloom. It's clear the owners value the garden... and I value them for that! This is one of those places where I would put on a wool sweater and a nice fitting pair of shoes, wrap up in a scarf and stroll the grounds.
I've stayed in the executive level rooms each time. The rooms were in a Pavilion annex which is about a 5 minute walk from the front desk. My rooms were large and clean albeit somewhat dated. That means they have an 80's charm that made me wax with nostalgia. The showers and other items all functioned well. Water temperature and pressure were perfect. They have good food on the grounds and a little parlor areas with books where I could sit, read and have a cuppa! Did I mention how much I loved doing that?
The Best Western is a good retreat from bustling lodging. I liked the quaint and dated feel of the place. If I could stay for the month and work on my book, I would choose this place.

“Disabled facilities perfection”

My daughter in law Jaquie Fisher booked the hotel with my disability very much in mind; I can walk short distances with assistance and use a Go Go small mobility scooter for longer distances. We had rooms 118 and 119, which had a connecting door in the event I needed assistance. The room was spotless, extremely large with enough
space in the entrance hall of the room to park my scooter. Car parking very close to the entrance for disabled use with a very large space for other guest’s vehicles. The setting was very tranquil but excellent shopping facilities within easy reach by car. The staff were outstanding throughout the hotel in all departments. The menus were varied and well prepared and always delivered with a smile. I am diabetic vegetarian but they still managed to feed me with a meal mot on the menu. So good was the experience we are returning in Feb.2017 to the same rooms.
