The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in this role type, within a 4* Hotel environment
Excellent Customer service skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels
Experience of supervising and motivating an F&B team within a Hotel environment
A positive attitude
Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
Hours of Work: You will be required to work 5 days over 7 which will include
weekends on a rota basis. Shifts will include 6am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm, 5pm - 2am

We are currently seeking an experienced gardener /grounds person/facilities assistant for an
immediate start to work and lovingly care for our beautiful hotel grounds. This is a full time,
permanent position. The successful applicant will have previous experience carrying out
garden/grounds maintenance work, including mowing, watering, strimming, hedge and tree
cutting, weeding and pruning bushes and shrubs. The scope of the role will encompass all
hotel grounds and gardens, the hotel surrounds, terraces along with some indoor maintenance
when needed. Assist the Facilities Manager and his team in keeping the Hotel and Leisure
Club areas inside and out in good repair to ensure guest satisfaction at all times.
Your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to) the following:
Maintaining all lawns to the highest standards
Strimming, hedge and tree maintenance
Maintaining defined edging between lawns and bedding areas
Ensuring the hotel entrance, approach and driveways are immaculately defined and
cared for
The safe use and operation of equipment and machinery used in horticultural
maintenance
To adhere to current health and safety legislation and best practice
To undertake any other reasonable management requests and projects as required
To keep our Hotel and Leisure Club areas inside and out in good repair to ensure
guest satisfaction
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Experience working on a luxury estate and/or similar environment.
Relevant gardening qualifications or equivalent experience
General knowledge of horticulture
The ability to work in a small team and to use their own initiative to identify and
solve problems
NPTC PA1 and PA6 spraying certificate would be desirable
Salary
£12.71 per hour working Monday to Friday, 7am - 3pm
